After a captivating first two seasons, Bridgerton fans were delighted to hear that the steamy, glamourous regency era drama would be back for a confirmed Season 3 and 4.

That's not all fans have to look forward to, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, the prequel to Bridgeton, is coming out in early May and will be followed by Bridgerton S3.

The trailer has been released and fans have taken to Reddit with wild theories and hope for the upcoming show with one theory explaining how the prequel could see an appearance by one of the Bridgerton siblings and kick off their love story, and fans are all for it.

The spinoff series is ‘Centered on Queen Charlotte's rise to prominence and power, this Bridgerton-verse prequel tells the story of how the young Queen's marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.’

The Reddit theory has pointed out that the upcoming Bridgerton Season 3 has a lot of storylines to cover in a limited amount of time, which has led to the idea Benedict Bridgerton could appear in the Queen Charlotte mini-series when the series focuses on the adult queen.

According to the book An Offer from a Gentleman, Benedict Bridgerton meets Sophie Beckett at a masquerade ball and instantly falls in love, but it is not meant to be. Sophie returns the next day to her life of servitude, and it will be a couple of years before the pair meet again by chance.

So, how will Benedict and Sophie meet in the prequel?

Fans have pointed out that Bridgerton Season 2 dropped a hint pointing to Sophie Beckett as the bride-to-be in Season 3 and, while this has not been confirmed, the fact that the spinoff is being released before Bridgerton Season 3 further supports the idea that Benedict and Sophie's first encounter could take place in the Queen Charlotte spinoff at a grand masquerade ball hosted by or attended by the Queen.

There are still six more Bridgerton sibling love stories to cover, as told in Julia Quinn's novels, and limited time in the next two confirmed seasons, and many fans believe that Benedict needs more time to develop and grow, figure out his role in the family and maybe pursue his art, before finding love.

Other fans have argued that Bridgerton's main storylines cannot take place in the spinoff, as fans who do not watch the spinoff will then be confused watching Season 3 however, Benedict meeting Sophie at the ball, would not affect their story, simply setting up the storyline to be picked up later in Bridgerton, a few years after their first meeting.
