Solene hasn't been fired on Below Deck Season 12... yet. But fans are convinced her time is almost up.

If you are wondering whether Below Deck just fired Solene Favreau, short answer: not yet. Longer answer: the clock is very much ticking, and the crew on St. David is acting like the decision is already halfway made.

Where things stand right now

Solene has not been fired on Below Deck Season 12. But her job is absolutely in jeopardy. Chief stew Fraser Olender says she is officially on her last warning, and he is not sugarcoating how thin the ice is.

"She has this last chance to get her s**t together. I don't want to fire her. But we may not have an option."

Fraser keeps saying he wants to finish the season with the same lineup he started with, but he also describes Solene as the team's problem child. That is... not subtle.

How we got here

The frustration has been building for a while. Fraser has told Solene he is tired of the uneven pace — when she is working, she works, but when she is not, other people are still going, and that drags the whole interior down. And it is not just him noticing.

  • Stew Rainbeau de Roos messaged Fraser mid-chaos to complain that Solene was having another bad night.
  • Deckhand Damo Yorg called her attitude disrespectful to the people she is living and working with.
  • Lead deckhand Jess Theron used the rotten-apple metaphor to describe her effect on the crew.
  • In a very 'inside baseball' move, Fraser told bosun Hugo Ortega and the deck team not to talk to Solene during charters because he thinks chatter distracts her and slows her down.
  • When Solene found out about the no-talking rule, she went straight to Captain Kerry Titheradge. He confirmed the rule came from Fraser and made the expectation clear.
"She is the one who needs to start doing her work."

The bottom line

Fraser admits firing is the easy escape hatch and he does not want to do that. But he has put an ultimatum on the table: unless Solene levels up, she could be out before they wrap the season. So no, she is not gone — yet — but the margin for error is basically zero.
