Which One Is Your Favorite? All Young Sheldon Seasons Ranked by Fans
The hit CBS sitcom is available to stream on nearly every major streaming service.
After seven seasons on the air, The Big Bang Theory spin-off Young Sheldon ended a week ago, leaving millions of fans heartbroken. The cozy family comedy-drama will forever remain one of the best sitcoms of all time. But not all of YS's seven seasons are equally beloved by viewers.
Here are the seven seasons of Young Sheldon, ranked from worst to best by fans on Reddit.
Season 7
The final season of Young Sheldon, which ended a week ago, is the least favorite of all for a number of reasons. The fact that it's the shortest has nothing to do with it. Fans of YS just don't like the vibe of the seventh season, which feels a little off as it seems to focus more on Georgie and Mandy than on the title character and the other Coopers.
Season 4
Nothing particularly memorable happens in the 'middle' season of the show, which is only at this point being retooled from a Sheldon-centric series to a comedy about the Coopers. Veronica, Georgie's fan-favorite love interest, disappeared from the show. Meemaw and Dr. Sturgis broke up. There is only sadness this season.
Season 5
The fifth season of Young Sheldon is better in terms of more family drama in the Cooper household, as Mary and George go through a marital crisis, Missy enters her teenage years, and underage Georgie gets a twenty-something pregnant. But the show really misses Sheldon, who spends most of his time at East Texas Tech.
Season 1
The first season of the TBBT prequel had a nice run. It managed to convey the difficulties Sheldon faced growing up different in a small Texas town and establish the overall tone of the show. But the rest of the characters were still largely unknown and underdeveloped at that point.
Season 3
By its third season, Young Sheldon was already a well-established comedy show with nuanced characters beloved by hordes of fans around the world. Sheldon's journey to the heights of science was depicted. Georgie's growth into a hardworking and industrious man was captured. And the intricacies of Mary and George's characters and relationship were shown.
Season 2
This season is what makes Young Sheldon one of the greatest comedies of all time. It had everything. Season 2 still focused on Sheldon and his struggle to understand and fit into the human world. It showed his siblings' own struggles as they tried to figure out their paths in life. The second season highlighted the difficulties of being parents to three children. And it saw the romance between Meemaw and Dr. Sturgis blossom.
Season 6
The ultimate fan-favorite season of Young Sheldon is the sixth, which revolves around all the Coopers equally and pays attention to the ups and downs of their lives. Georgie and Mandy's arc is still fresh and exciting this season, and it's not forced on the audience as it was in Season 7. Also, Mary and George seem to be working things out in their marriage and life is slowly but surely getting better for the Coopers.
