We usually refer to professional dancing partners when we talk about 'couples' on Dancing With the Stars. But which of these dancing partners are couples in real life?

The show never fails to impress us with its incredible performances. Over ten weeks, celebrities are paired with professional dancers to form a strong bond, resulting in a spectacular show accompanied by equally magnificent music.

While Dancing with the Stars focuses on building professional relationships with celebrities to showcase their skills, some dancers have become romantically involved with each other. Who are these couples?

5. Emma Slater and Sasha Farber

Emma is a top dancer in the UK, while Sasha Farber initially joined the show as a troupe member before becoming a regular in season 17.

Although Emma and Sasha divorced in 2023, they remain among the most memorable couples.

4. Daniella Karagach and Pasha Pashkov

Though not paired together on the show for obvious reasons, they are a formidable professional duo, dancing in various tournaments since 2009. They've danced at such renowned championships as the World Games, 10 Dance, Ballroom World Championship, and Latin Championship. The couple got married in 2014.

3. Hayley Erbert and Derek Hough

These Dancing With the Stars graduates grew closer during the 2015 show, when Derek was in his eighth year as a professional dancer, and Hayley joined as a troupe member. The couple shares incredible chemistry and announced their engagement in 2022.

2. Peta Murgatroyd and Maks Chmerkovskiy

Australian-American Latin dancer Peta Murgatroyd and her partner, Ukrainian-American Latin ballroom dancer Maks Chmerkovskiy, are true stars of the show. Both have long professional dancing careers and numerous awards.

The duo met on Broadway in 2009 and have been one of the dance world's most prominent couples since 2017.

1. Jenna Johnson and Valentin Chmerkovskiy

Maks' younger brother, Val, is an even more prolific competitor on the show. His wife, Jenna, is equally successful, winning three medals in just five seasons. Like many dancers mentioned above, the partners met on the show in 2014. In 2023, they welcomed their first child, preventing Johnson from competing in season 31.

Season 31 premiered on the Disney+ streaming service, which promptly confirmed season 32. Based on previous seasons' release dates, the next season should be expected this fall!
