What Is Love? 3 Most Eye-Watering Kanthony Moments on Bridgerton

You have to watch a single episode to see them all.

Whether you agree or not, Anthony Bridgerton and Kate Sharma are the best romantic leads on Netflix's hit period drama. And they are likely to keep that title even after Season 3, which will focus on Colin and Penelope, premieres on May 16.

Kanthony's love story was intense and very emotional. In fact, the duo's romance arc is full of heartfelt moments that will bring tears to the eyes of those who may have forgotten how to cry altogether.

If you doubt it, watch the eighth episode of Season 2, titled The Viscount Who Loved Me, for these three eye-watering moments.

Violet's Motherly Blessing

On the one hand, it is sad that Violet is reduced to the caring mother trope on the show. On the other hand, she performs her maternal duties with finesse. Violet is a truly loving mother whose children mean the world to her.

That's why it's so touching to see her encourage Anthony to be with the woman he truly loves and pursue his happiness instead of focusing on his mission as Viscount Bridgerton. After Kate's fall, it's Violet who tells Anthony to go see the girl, bringing him to tears. And it's one of the show's most beautiful moments.

The Wrecking Ball Dance

Later, Kate and Anthony meet at the ball, where she asks him to dance. During the dance, the couple realizes that they are almost alone on the floor and that everyone is staring at them. However, Kanthony do not stop out of fear for their reputations. And as Anthony says, 'No one else matters,' the duo embrace their feelings for each other and continue their dance unapologetically, almost culminating in a public kiss that would surely cause a scandal. Fortunately, the Queen herself, seeing the profundity of Kanthony's feelings, intervenes to save them from disgrace.

Firework Confessions

The most eye-watering moment, however, is when Anthony follows Kate into the garden after the ball. He tries to stop her from going to India. As a last ditch effort, he tells her of his feelings for her and confesses his love. And Kate has 'nothing to say other than' that she loves him, too. And as they say how much they vex each other, fireworks explode, amplifying their kiss and sealing their fate. This is probably the most heartfelt scene on Bridgerton, and one that can make you cry.
