What Are Ryley Tate Wilson's Chances of Actually Winning The Voice Season 23?
The young aspiring singer has become a highlight of this season.
Season 23 of The Voice continues to captivate fans with a range of talented voices. The four teams, coached by famous artists, vie for a spot in the finale to showcase their skills to America. This season also surprised viewers with a new twist: in addition to the Knockouts, new rounds were introduced — the Playoffs.
The twist in the playoffs is that it allows the coach to let both contestants advance in the competition: the winner moves on to the Knockouts, while the one who gets a pass must prove their worth in the extra round. One of those contestants is Ryley Tate Wilson.
But what are his chances of winning?
The 15-year-old wowed the coaches during the blind auditions with his rendition of Swedish singer Robyn's track Dancing On My Own. Within seconds, all the coaches turned their chairs. However, the young singer chose One Direction alum Niall Horan as his coach.
Ryley then faced Michael B. in a duel, performing Heartbreak Anniversary by Giveon, but unfortunately lost. Nonetheless, Horan decided both singers deserved to reach the final and gave Ryley his only pass.
In the upcoming episode, we'll see all the contestants who advanced through the Knockouts and received a pass. Although many believe Ryley can make it to the Top 8, he may not reach the finals.
'He won't be able to make it to F4. I think Niall's best chance is Michael B. at this point,' a fan said. While Ryley is undoubtedly a talented performer, Michael B. has garnered more popularity on Horan's team, partly thanks to the audience's votes during the Knockouts.
Additionally, despite their affection for the young singer, many fans are placing their bets on Team Blake or Team Kelly.
'I really think it's just gonna be between Holly and Noivas for the win,' another fan concluded. Kelly Clarkson has an incredibly talented singer and former Miss Mississippi, Holly Brand, who has impressed everyone with her ability to hit high notes.
Simultaneously, there are two equally popular singers on Blake Shelton's team: Grace West and NOIVAS. And considering that country singers usually get more votes (as in previous seasons), NOIVAS could very well be the winner.
Regardless of whether Ryley wins or not, we are confident he has a bright artistic future ahead of him! As for his future in the competition, we will find out in the new episode airing on 1 May.
