We Finally Know The Umbrella Academy Season 4 Release Window
The show's ultimate season might premiere in a blink of an eye.
Over the years, Netflix has given us a lot of shows to fall head over heels in love with. Stranger Things, Sex Education, Virgin River, and Sweet Magnolias – every user of the streaming service has their own list. But when it comes to superhero shows, The Umbrella Academy is a must-see.
Netflix's adaptation of the eponymous comic book series premiered in 2019 and instantly proved popular with various audiences worldwide. Revolving around a group of 'umbrellas' – superpowered heroes fighting criminals, The Umbrella Academy offers an interesting, albeit unorthodox, take on the subject. So far, the show has aired three seasons, with the fourth installment being on its way. Now, the approximate release window has been revealed.
Umbrellas' Birthdays
The Netflix show is set in a universe where forty-three women around the world gave birth simultaneously on October 1, 1989, despite showing no signs of pregnancy. The children turned out to have superpowers. And seven of them were chosen to become Umbrellas.
As the date indicates, the beloved characters celebrated their birthdays just a few days ago, which was documented in a celebratory clip on the Umbrella Academy's official page on X (fka Twitter). More importantly, it was revealed that the fourth season of the Netflix show is scheduled for 2024.
TUA Season 4 Release Window
At the same time, the exact date remains a mystery, as it has not yet been announced. However, The Umbrella Academy seasons seem to have a release pattern. So far, the show has generally been released within eight to ten months of the completion of filming.
Given that Season 4 of TUA was filmed in the first half of this year - from February to May - it can be expected to premiere in the first quarter of 2024.
Season 1 of The Umbrellas Academy, for example, was released in February 2019, so there's no reason why the final installment can't be released in roughly the same window. Either way, we have yet to learn any details about the fourth season of the beloved Netflix show, including the exact release date.
