Watson Season 2: How Many Episodes to Expect and When Each One Drops
Watson Season 2 is almost here—so how many episodes are on the way, and when do they drop? From creator Craig Sweeney (Limitless, Star Trek: Discovery, Elementary, Medium, The 4400), here’s your guide to the full rollout.
Quick refresher for anyone juggling premieres and calendars: Watson is back with a second season, and yes, we finally have the episode count and schedule. If you just want the who, when, and where, I have you covered.
Episode count and release schedule
Season 2 runs 20 episodes. New installments air Mondays at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET. It is a weekly rollout, very much in line with how CBS likes to pace its shows. Season 2 premiered on October 13 and picks up after the events of Season 1.
What this version of Watson is doing
Created by Craig Sweeney - the guy behind Limitless and a writer-producer on Star Trek: Discovery, Elementary, Medium, and The 4400, among others - this take is built around Arthur Conan Doyle characters but shifts the focus squarely to John Watson. The setup: about a year after Sherlock Holmes is presumed dead, Watson gets back to medicine and opens the 'Holmes Clinic,' a place that specializes in rare diseases. Of course, you do not put Watson in a clinic with that name and expect his old life to stay quiet.
"A year after the death of his friend and partner, Sherlock Holmes, at the hands of Moriarty, Dr. John Watson resumes his medical career as the head of a clinic dedicated to treating rare disorders. However, he soon finds that his old life is not done with him yet."

Where to watch
New episodes air on CBS. If you have watched CBS for any length of time, you know the drill: primetime dramas and comedies during the week, plus news, reality TV, and a lot of live sports, including NFL games. Watson slots into that lineup with the standard weekly cadence.
