Did his Cha-Cha-Cha deserve a mere 5-5-5?

Barry Williams wowed the audience with his recent dance performance on Latin Night, but the fans' excitement quickly turned to disappointment and disbelief when the judges revealed Barry's subpar score.

Fans felt that Barry deserved at least a 6. His performance was at the very least impressive and deserved a higher score than some of his fellow contestants. But we'll get to that. First, let's take a look at his performance:

Barry Williams is best known for his role as the oldest brother, Greg Brady, on The Brady Bunch, and has had smaller roles in other movies and TV shows, but the 69-year-old actor surprised and delighted fans with his appearance on Season 32 of Dancing With The Stars.

He is the third Brady Bunch star to compete on the show, following the late Florence Henderson and Maureen McCormick, and made a promise to Henderson that if she didn't win, he would go all the way on the show.

Barry and Peta deserved so much more

Unlike many of his fellow contestants, Williams actually has dance experience, having starred in Broadway shows and touring productions. His talent has not gone unnoticed, with fans praising him for 'his hips, his kicks, his intensity' and his overall fluidity and execution.

Watching the video, Williams deserves the praise, especially when compared to other contestants like Tyson Beckford, who was criticized by fans for hiding behind his partner.

Tyson scored higher than Barry, which everyone seems to think is unfair, noting that you can't call his performance 'dancing' since he mostly just threw his partner in the air. And they're not wrong.

It's not just the fact that Barry is much older and put an extraordinary amount of work and strain on his body to perform, it's the fact that despite his age, his performance was better and deserved a better score.

The whole point of Dancing With The Stars is for the celebrity and their professional dance partner to showcase their skills and perform together, and Barry put in far more effort, while Tyson almost stepped back and let his partner show her skills, doing flips and tricks around him.

The fans are not only fond of Barry, they are protective of him. His low scores might have been acceptable if Tyson had scored even lower, but that was not the case. Maybe the judges had a bad day, but whatever the reason, we can only hope that Barry's next performance gets the scores it deserves.
