The fresh installment boasts a number of new faces.

When Virgin River premiered in 2019, it instantly proved to be popular with audiences — so much so that the show was renewed for a second season only two weeks after its original release. Yesterday, the show's fifth installment dropped on Netflix, and now Virgin River is the talk of the town again.

Over the series' five-year run, viewers have grown to love the large and colorful crowd of residents of the titular Northern California town. And while fans are excited to be reunited with the show's leads Mel Monroe and Jack Sheridan, it's also great to see several new swoon-worthy characters in Season 5. Here they are.

Ava (Libby Osler)

Lilly Anderson was one of fan favorites on Virgin River until her untimely death at the end of Season 3. And now, her daughter Ava returns to the town to fill the void her late mother left. The new character is played by Libby Osler whom you may have seen on Supernatural and Stargate: Atlantis as well as in Seventh Son.

Kaia (Kandyse McClure)

As Virgin River is engulfed by wildfires in Season 5, it sees the arrival of a new firefighter, Kaia, played by Kandyse McClure. The South African-Canadian actress was Libby Osler's co-star in Seventh Son, and also appeared in The Twilight Zone, Smallville, and The Good Doctor.

Lark (Elise Gatien)

Lark is introduced to the audience when her daughter gets lost in the forest and she asks Dan Brady for help. The character is played by Elise Gatien, a Canadian actress whom you may have seen several times in Supernatural and Smallville.

Rose (Susan Hogan)

Doc's old flame Rose resurfaces in Virgin River at the time of struggle. She is portrayed by Susan Hogan, a celebrated Canadian actress. Among her prominent projects, Hogan starred in White Fang (1991) and The Butterfly Effect 2 (2006).

Melissa (Barbara Pollard)

Although Melissa technically debuted on the series back in Season 4, she becomes a more notable character in the new installment. The town's cunning drug baroness is brought to life by Barbara Pollard who also had episodic roles in Supernatural and The X Files.

Episodes 11 and 12 of Virgin River Season 5 will arrive on Netflix on November 30.
