Vampire Diaries Characters vs Cast Real Age Raises Some Eyebrows

Hollywood is notorious for casting adults in teen roles. But no show does this better than The CW's hit teen drama The Vampire Diaries.

Here's a comprehensive comparison of TVD's cast and character ages.

10. Joseph Morgan (29) as Klaus Mikaelson (over 1000/unknown)

The Vampire Diaries' main antagonist was shrouded in mystery. His real age was never explicitly stated, but he is said to be over 1000 years old. Meanwhile, the actor was only twenty-nine in season 1.

9. Matt Davis (31) as Alaric Saltzman (33)

At the beginning of the show, the heartthrob teacher and vampire slayer was older than Matt Davis who played him. This is quite unusual for the industry, but the difference isn't that big in the first place.
