Let's do some detective work.

Probably the biggest mystery and cause for speculation among fans of the Bridgerverse right now is the release date of Season 3, featuring the love story of Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton. It has been over 17 months since Season 2 premiered, and Netflix still isn't rushing to announce when the next chapter is going to air.

And while there are two major theories that put the Season 3 premiere at the end of 2023 or sometime in 2024, the massive online detective agency that is the Bridgerton fandom never sleeps and is always on the lookout for new clues.

That's how fans found an exciting update that could prove Season 3 will land on Netflix this December.

Dubbing of Bridgerton has officially begun

Flora Paulita recently tweeted a picture with her colleagues with a caption that translates as 'I can't tell you what happened here, but I can say that it's coming.'

Who are all these people, you ask? And how are they connected to Bridgerton? This is where it gets interesting.

The group in the photo are Portuguese voice actors dubbing Bridgerton. And fans are sure that Flora Paulita, who by the way is the voice of Penelope, is talking about the official start of the dubbing for Season 3.

So why did Paulita's tweet send the fandom into a frenzy and everyone's sure it points to the 2023 premiere? Everything is simple. Dubbing usually starts 2–3 months before a project is released, which happens simultaneously in all countries. With four months left until the end of 2023, this means that Season 3 has a good chance of airing this year.

Why December, though?

The new evidence confirms the December release theory that has been circulating in the fandom since the Tudum event, which took place on June 16–18 in São Paulo, Brazil. During the event, only a few first-look Season 3 stills were revealed, much to the disappointment of many fans.

Later, however, Netflix Portugal accidentally announced December 14 as the premiere date for the upcoming season while sharing some new stills on their social media accounts. The posts were quickly edited, but the fandom had already adopted the December premiere as the main theory.

Now, with Paulita's tweet fueling the speculation, fans can't wait for December to arrive.

'I was about to die from the silence; this gives me some hope,' a fan wrote on Reddit, echoing the sentiments of many.

Do you believe the new update confirms the December 14 premiere?
