Watch a stream, get the Purple Noob badge—Roblox revives its Twitch Drop giveaways with a simple requirement: tune in to an eligible livestream and claim the reward.

Roblox is handing out a new Twitch Drop, and yes, it is exactly what it sounds like: a Purple Noob badge for your Twitch chat. The whole thing is pretty low effort, time-limited, and honestly kind of charming if you collect this stuff.

What it is and how long you have

The Purple Noob is a Twitch chat badge you can equip so it shows up next to your name when you type in chat. It is only available through this campaign until January 5, 2026. Roblox has run Twitch promos like this before, so this is basically them keeping the streak going.

How to claim it (quick and painless)

The requirement used to be 15 minutes, but Roblox bumped it to a full hour. Annoying, but not exactly back-breaking. You can track the timer and snag the badge right inside Twitch.

  • Log into Twitch with a verified email.
  • Find a Roblox livestream with the 'DropsEnabled' tag.
  • Watch for 60 minutes. You can leave the stream open in a tab; background viewing still counts.
  • Track your progress by clicking your Twitch profile icon (there is a progress bar during Drops).
  • When the timer hits 100%, go to Profile > Drops & Rewards > Inventory and claim it.
  • Give it a couple of hours to show up on your account.
  • Equip it in your Twitch chat settings so it appears next to your name in chat. Other users will see it on your profile too.

Do you have to link Roblox and Twitch?

No. Since this particular reward lives on Twitch as a chat badge, linking accounts does nothing for you here. Just make sure your Twitch login is verified and you are good. For most Roblox drops that do give you in-game stuff, Twitch usually hands out a unique code you redeem on the Roblox side, which also makes linking pretty unnecessary.

Why bother now

It is limited-time, and there is no guarantee the badge returns or that you will get another crack at it later. If you want it, grab it while the Drop is live and move on with your day.
