To mark its digital release, Black Phone 2 gets a killer giveaway from ComingSoon: four winners will score a digital code, a branded beanie, and a flashlight. The Ethan Hawke and Mason Thames chiller is available to buy or rent now, with 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD on the way.

If you want an excuse to watch creepy kids outsmart a killer while wearing a new beanie, here you go: ComingSoon is running a Black Phone 2 giveaway tied to the film's digital launch. The sequel is out to rent or buy on digital now, with discs landing December 23, and they are sweetening the deal with some free stuff.

What ComingSoon is giving away (and how to get it)

Four winners will each snag a digital code for Black Phone 2, a branded beanie, and a flashlight. To enter, either retweet ComingSoon's giveaway post on Twitter or drop a comment on their matching Facebook post. It is U.S. only, and the whole thing wraps on November 10, 2025. Simple enough.

So what is Black Phone 2 about this time?

Ethan Hawke's nightmare fuel is not done messing with these kids. Even after death, The Grabber is still in the picture, basically reaching from the other side to harass Finn by going after his sister, Gwen. She starts seeing awful visions again, which forces the siblings to push back against the mind games. That hunt leads them to a nasty secret and a showdown with a villain who somehow has more pull in death than he did in life. Fun!

'True evil transcends death ... and the black phone rings again.'

Who made it and who is in it

Scott Derrickson directed and co-wrote the film with his longtime partner C. Robert Cargill, working from characters created by Joe Hill. Mason Thames and Ethan Hawke return, joined by Madeleine McGraw, Demian Bichir, Arianna Rivas, Miguel Mora, Jeremy Davies, Maev Beaty, and Graham Abbey. Derrickson, Cargill, and Jason Blum produced, with Ryan Turek, Adam Hendricks, Daniel Bekerman, and Jason Blumenfeld executive producing.

Release info and extras

Black Phone 2 is available now on digital. If you are a physical media person, 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD hit on December 23. The digital release also comes with a pretty stacked set of extras. Highlights include new deleted scenes that actually add character beats, plus a few meaty behind-the-scenes pieces if you like seeing how the sausage gets made.

  • Deleted scenes: Gwen and Ernesto cross paths at the library; Mustang addresses the group; Mando talks about the camp shutting down; Mustang and Gwen have a chapel moment; Ernesto and Gwen share a kiss; Gwen prays; and Ken and Barb ask Gwen and Finn to return.
  • Dialed In: The Cast of Black Phone 2 — a look at how the ensemble found their characters and why those choices click.
  • A Story Carved in Ice — stunts, prosthetics, and the practical tricks that make the sequel feel extra sharp.
  • Frozen in Time — design and atmosphere breakdowns from those dreamy-but-unnerving sets.
  • Feature commentary with director/co-writer/producer Scott Derrickson.

If you just want to watch it now, it is sitting on digital stores. If you want freebies with your fear, you have until November 10 to go chase that beanie and flashlight.
