Gear up for all-out chaos: Battlefield 6 is almost here, and EA is sweetening the fight with dedicated Twitch Drops—unlock in-game rewards just by watching and supporting your favorite creators.

Battlefield 6 is almost here, and yes, EA is dangling Twitch drops to nudge you into watching streams during launch week. If you want the freebies, it all comes down to one thing: linking your EA account to your Twitch account. Do that, watch the right streams, maybe toss a sub, and you walk away with a handful of cosmetics. Easy. Mostly.

First: link your accounts or you get nothing

If you don't connect EA and Twitch, you can watch for hours and earn exactly zero. Go find the official EA Twitch linking page (search "EA Twitch linking"), sign in, and hit "Authorize." Once that's done, you're eligible for drops during the campaign.

When this is happening

Battlefield 6 launches October 10 on PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S. The Twitch drops campaign runs during launch week: October 10 through October 17. Pick a creator streaming in the Battlefield 6 category and settle in.

What you can earn (and how)

  • Subscribe or gift a sub to an eligible channel streaming in the Battlefield 6 category (a new sub of any tier during launch week): you get the "Versatile" Soldier skin and a "BF6 Chat Badge" for Twitch.
  • Watch for 1 hour: the "Called Shotgun" dog tag.
  • Watch for 2 hours: the "Cyber War" weapon package.
  • Watch for 3 hours: the "Green Falcon" vehicle skin.

A few gotchas to avoid

Your watch time stacks across different streams, so you don't have to do a three-hour marathon in one sitting. But you do need to claim each drop in your Twitch inventory once it becomes available. If you forget to hit the claim button after a campaign or stream ends, those rewards can disappear into the void and support won't save you.

The bottom line

Link EA to Twitch, watch Battlefield 6 during October 10–17, claim as you go, and consider tossing a new sub if you want the soldier skin and chat badge. It's straightforward, and the cosmetics lean classic military rather than neon rave, which is a nice change of pace. Now go pick a streamer and start banking the watch time.
