Unfair Treatment: Fans Are Enraged by Dancing with the Stars 32 Results
Many have come to question the show's integrity after this installment's finale.
- Season 32 of DWTS came to an end on 5th December.
- Many viewers believe this season's winner didn't deserve her flawless score.
- Viewers still love the winner, but feel it was unfair to overlook her mistake.
It's been a few days since the Dancing with the Stars thirty-second season finale aired, but the fandom is still ranting and raving about the results. This season's competition was fierce, after all, with a plethora of talented artists vying for the grand prize. For example, Jason Mraz and Daniella Karagach, Ariana Madix and Pasha Pashkov, Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy were all adored by fans throughout the season. However, only one of the couples went on to win Season 32 of DWTS.
With a perfect score of 30 for both of their final performances, Xochitl Gomez and Val Chmerkovskiy swept to victory in the thirty-second installment of Dancing with the Stars. However, many fans feel that the winner of DWTS 32 was given special treatment compared to the other celebrity contestants, which just isn't fair.
The Judges Turned a Blind Eye on Xochitl's Blunder
During Xochitl and Val's foxtrot performance to Katy Perry's Unconditionally, the young actress noticeably missed her pro partner's hand. After a millisecond of confusion, she continued dancing like a total professional, which is commendable. However, the judges chose to completely ignore her mistake, as none of them even mentioned it during the scoring. While Xochitl's performance was nonetheless brilliant, it didn't seem fair to the rest of the contestants whose shortcomings were bombarded with critiques.
DWTS Fans Are Furious
It goes without saying that viewers didn't appreciate this instance of what they felt was special treatment for Xochitl Gomez.
'She definitely didn't deserve to get any less score than she got but they should've at least mentioned it [the mistake]… they're so quick to nitpick everyone else,' one Redditor observed.
Remarkably, many viewers who support Xochitl and Val's win still think that the competition was somehow rigged.
'I don't hate them winning, I just hate the judges ignoring it and still docking off points on other people. The favoritism is real,' another Reddit user chimed in.
As a result, some fans of Dancing with the Stars have become disappointed in their beloved show.
'If you've seen some of the things they've docked points from this season and past seasons, this wouldn't have had a perfect score. Her timing got knocked off and it was very noticeable, the judges either all looked away at the same time or they overlooked it,' one more Redditor commented on Xochitl's mistake.
