Typhoon Family returns with a gripping Episode 4 on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at 9:10 PM KST on tvN, with Netflix and TVING to stream it shortly after. The drama deepens its hard-hitting portrait of a family fighting to survive South Korea’s 1997 economic crisis.

Here we go: if you are hooked on Typhoon Family, the next chapter lands this weekend, and it is a big one for the show’s momentum and the company-at-stake drama. Let’s get you set up with when, where, and what to expect.

When and where to watch

Typhoon Family Episode 4 premieres Sunday, October 19, 2025 at 9:10 PM KST on tvN in South Korea. It will stream shortly after on TVING (Korea) and Netflix worldwide. Runtime is about 1 hour 10 minutes.

The drama airs two episodes weekly on tvN, every Saturday and Sunday, for a 16-episode Season 1. The finale is currently scheduled for November 30, 2025.

Those global time grids floating around have been a bit shaky, so here is the clean conversion for the live tvN broadcast at 9:10 PM KST. Netflix usually posts the episode a bit later, not at the exact broadcast minute.

  • South Korea: 9:10 PM KST (Sun, Oct 19)
  • United States East: 8:10 AM EDT (Sun, Oct 19)
  • United States West: 5:10 AM PDT (Sun, Oct 19)
  • United Kingdom: 1:10 PM BST (Sun, Oct 19)
  • Central Europe: 2:10 PM CEST (Sun, Oct 19)
  • India: 5:40 PM IST (Sun, Oct 19)
  • Australia: 10:10 PM AEST / 11:10 PM AEDT (Sun, Oct 19)

Streaming drop timing can vary a little by region, but count on it being available on Netflix not long after broadcast.

The show in one line

Set during South Korea’s 1997 economic crisis, Typhoon Family tracks one family’s financial meltdown and fight for survival as their business teeters. It stars Lee Jun-ho (King the Land) and Kim Min-ha (Pachinko).

Viewership check-in

The show’s heat is real: Episode 2 hit a series high and ranked first in its time slot across all cable channels nationwide in Korea, per Soompi. For a brand-new weekender, that is a strong early signal.

Where the story left off and what Episode 4 is pushing toward

Episode 2 ended with Kang Tae-poong finding a secret safe and a letter from his late father, which snapped him into actually owning the CEO role. Episode 3 (Saturday, Oct 18) picks up from that Daebang Textiles cliffhanger. From the Episode 3–4 preview: the pressure from creditors does not let up, and the deeper Tae-poong digs, the more rot he finds at Typhoon Trading Company.

There is a brief win that lifts spirits for Tae-poong and Mi-seon, and then a legal notice hits accusing them of breaching a business agreement. Tae-poong marches straight into the partner company’s office to confront it. Later, he and Mi-seon head back to the warehouse to pull at more threads from the company’s past. The personal side is inching forward too; expect the Tae-poong and Mi-seon dynamic to warm up in Episode 4.

'I will not let anyone take the company away from the people who still believe in it.'

That resolve is the Episode 4 engine: Tae-poong’s uphill fight to keep his father’s company from collapsing.

How to watch it

Live in Korea: tvN at 9:10 PM KST. Same-day streaming in Korea: TVING. International: Netflix will stream Episode 4 worldwide shortly after the tvN broadcast. A Netflix subscription is required (plans in the US start at $7.99/month), and the episode will be in HD with subtitles in multiple languages depending on your region.

Bottom line: big plot moves, a little romance, and even more trouble. Can Tae-poong actually hold the line on Typhoon Trading Company? We are about to find out.
