Twilight's Deleted Scene is So Gross, It Actually Makes Your Skin Crawl
Thankfully, the cringiest Twilight scene was cut from the movie.
Ever since its premiere, Twilight has been getting very mixed reviews.
While a huge and quickly formed fandom was crazy about the movie and its characters, causing the ratings to skyrocket, there was a large and vocal portion of moviegoers who hated the movie for the most cringe-worthy scenes ever shown on the big screen.

But as it turns out, the most hard-to-watch moment never made the final cut.
In this gross scene released after the premiere and posted on many fan social media accounts, Bella and Edward are walking in a meadow and talking about Bella's safety and how Edward is a threat to her.

In the middle of the dialogue, Edward pulls Bella to the ground, and as they lie hugging, Bella asks, "Do you really want a taste?" referring to her blood, which has been established as a kind of drug for Edward.
He says "year," and Bella sticks her finger in his mouth. He then squeezes her finger with his vampire teeth, which makes Bella say "ouch" and pull her finger out of Edward's mouth and put it in hers. Edward then says, "You fragile little human," and the scene mercifully ends.
This scene is as uncomfortable to watch as it sounds.

It is a reminder that Twilight is first and foremost a classic romance story with a Mary Sue-type female protagonist. All the noises the characters make in the scene and the obvious sexual tension between them make the viewer feel like they are watching the beginning of an adult film instead of a fantasy teen movie.
"Why do they sound like the couple on the back of the bus talking dirty to each other and just making everyone else uncomfortable?" a commenter wrote under the scene published on the fan Instagram page.
Besides being too uncomfortable and a little dirty, the scene doesn't make sense character-wise. Fans noted that Edward couldn't resist Bella's blood in the first movie. He could barely sit next to her at first, let alone "taste" her.
Throughout the franchise, Edward is extra careful around Bella for fear of losing control and hurting her. So it would be very unwise of Bella to put a finger in his mouth. And Edward would never let that happen. So it's definitely a good thing the scene was cut.
