After Tulsa King's November 2025 cliffhanger torched the status quo, Paramount+ has locked in more of Taylor Sheridan’s crime saga, setting up Dwight Manfredi’s next gambit against Jeremiah Dunmire and pointing to a 2026 return.

Alright, quick refresher for the Tulsa King faithful: Season 3 went out in November 2025 with flame and fury, Paramount+ renewed the show two months before that finale, and Season 4 is lining up to land in 2026. In other words, Dwight Manfredi’s not done making trouble in Tulsa — and beyond.

Where Season 4 stands right now

Paramount+ already gave Tulsa King another season, and the current chatter points to a 2026 premiere. If the show holds its now-familiar cadence, September 2026 is the smart bet (per Radio Times). No official date yet. The show remains a Paramount+ exclusive.

The story going into Season 4

Season 3 centered on Dwight (Sylvester Stallone) clashing with Jeremiah Dunmire (Robert Patrick), who escalated things by kidnapping Dwight’s sister, Joanne. That kidnapping got resolved in the finale — the feud did not.

Here’s where things get messy. Some recaps say Jeremiah dies in a fire during the rescue raid. Other reporting (and the show’s setup for next season) treats him as very much alive and too dangerous to write off. The reliable takeaway: Dwight vs. Dunmire is not over, and the next round is baked into the Season 4 plan.

"You’ll come across him in this season, but it’s a matter of, he has to just eventually, eventually throw down and say, 'I know you’re going to try to kill me. So we’re going to try to work this out, or one of us has got to go.' That’s the theme, and it starts to play out through all 10 episodes. It continues into the next season."

Also worth flagging from the Season 3 endgame: Dwight and crew stormed Dunmire’s compound to get Joanne back, Dwight secured a federal liquor license to fortify his business and cement his hold on Tulsa, and Russell Lee Washington Jr. (Samuel L. Jackson) aligned with Dwight despite heat from his New York mob boss. That last piece is important for the coming spin-off.

The NOLA King connection

Season 4 is expected to push Russell Lee Washington Jr. further into the spotlight — which makes sense, because he’s headlining the New Orleans-set spin-off NOLA King. Paramount handed that series a straight-to-series order in September 2025, with production slated to start in February 2026. No date yet for the premiere, but late 2026 or early 2027 tracks.

Cast: who’s back and who’s new

Stallone is back as Dwight 'The General' Manfredi. Gretchen Mol is joining Season 4 as a series regular. And yes, expect more Samuel L. Jackson as Russell. The full roster isn’t public, but here’s who is expected to return:

  • Frank Grillo as Bill Bevilaqua
  • Annabella Sciorra as Joanne
  • Kevin Pollak as Special Agent Musso
  • Martin Starr as Bodhi
  • Robert Patrick as Jeremiah Dunmire
  • Neal McDonough as Cal Thresher
  • James Russo as Ray Renzetti
  • Beau Knapp as Cole Dunmire
  • Chris Caldovino as Goodie
  • Bella Heathcote as Cleo Montagu
  • Garrett Hedlund as Mitch Keller
  • Vincent Piazza as Vince
  • Dana Delany as Margaret Devereaux
  • Jay Will as Tyson
  • Michael Beach as Mark

Behind-the-scenes shake-ups (and they’re not small)

Right before Season 4 filming kicked off in Atlanta, 26 members of the cast and crew were abruptly let go (per Deadline). That move landed while the production didn’t have a formal showrunner. In practice, 101 Studios exec Scott Stone has been acting as a de facto showrunner, working with unit managers Rebecca Rivo and Christian Agypt (per Variety).

"Some of these people … were told to leave their equipment at the stages [after Season 3], and then told a week before shooting that they don’t have a job. I think it was really disheartening."

That’s stunt coordinator Freddie Poole on how the layoffs were handled — not exactly a confidence booster. On the creative side, Terence Winter is back as head writer and executive producer, running the writers’ room from Los Angeles but not overseeing day-to-day production on set. He replaces Dave Erickson in that role. Taylor Sheridan remains the big-picture architect with a Paramount deal through 2028, but with him spread across multiple Yellowstone offshoots, expect Winter to carry more of the Tulsa King creative load.

So when do we actually see it?

Short version: Tulsa King Season 4 is tracking for 2026, with September 2026 looking likely if the pattern holds. NOLA King starts shooting in February 2026 and is eyeing late 2026 or early 2027 on Paramount+. In the meantime, Season 3 is the table-setter: Dwight’s got the liquor license, the Tulsa empire, and a whole lot of enemies. Dunmire is either ash or incoming — and if you’ve watched this show, you know which option makes better TV.
