Top 5 Things That Would Have Made Young Sheldon Season 7 Much Better
The final installment of the fan-favorite comedy is of questionable quality.
A week after the finale of Young Sheldon, fans are still discussing Season 7. The topic of discussion, however, is the poor quality of the seventh episode, as many viewers say it's the worst of all the seasons of the spin-off. But arguably, it could have been improved with a few small changes.
Here are five ways to fix Season 7.
Meemaw's House Storyline
The destruction of Meemaw's house by the tornado was the highlight of the Season 6 finale. As a result, she had to move in with Dale, and Mandy and Georgie moved back in with the Coopers (for a while). However, the Meemaw's house storyline was only mentioned twice in Season 7, and not in a significant way. First, at the beginning of the season, Dale and Connie had a falling out after he mocked her for not having tornado insurance in Texas. And second, Mary reminded Meemaw that she had a house to rebuild when Connie came to the Cooper house to get her stash of money to pay a lawyer.
Missy's Arc
Missy really shined at the beginning of Season 7 when she stepped in as the head of the household in Mary's absence. However, as the season progressed, Missy was not given enough screen time. And by the end of the show, she was just a distraught and anxious teenager grieving the loss of her father.
Paige's Fate
You may like Paige or not care about her in the slightest, but she was an important addition to the TBBT universe because she showed how different Sheldon's fate could have been. In that respect, it would have been nice to at least know what happened to her after Young Sheldon. But she was completely left out of Season 7.
Mary & George's Relationship
For years, fans of TBBT feared that George would cheat on Mary. Season 7 allayed those fears when it turned out that the strange woman Sheldon caught his father with was Mary, dressed up to spice up her marriage. It was fun, but it wasn't enough.
The final months of the Coopers' marriage should have been explored more on the show to understand why Mary was so deeply affected by her husband's untimely death.
Less Georgie and Mandy
The worst thing about Season 7 of Young Sheldon is that it's not about Sheldon at all, or even the other Coopers. It serves as a bridge to the next spin-off, Georgie & Mandy's First Marriage, focusing more on the newlyweds and their relationships with each other and their families than on Shelly, who is spending his last weeks in his parents' house before moving to CalTech.
