Fans can expect the same blend of luxury, scandal, and dark humor — only this time against a backdrop that promises even bigger drama.

Pack your bags and practice your bons mots: The White Lotus is heading to France for Season 4. HBO and creator Mike White have picked the country as the next stop for the show’s luxury-vacation-meets-moral-carnage tour, according to Deadline.

Where in France?

HBO hasn’t named the exact city or hotel yet. But the show loves a Four Seasons backdrop, and if they stick with that pattern, the realistic French options are basically:

  • Grand-Hotel du Cap-Ferrat in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat on the French Riviera
  • Four Seasons Hotel Megève in the French Alps
  • Hotel George V in Paris

Inside baseball, sure, but it tracks: previous seasons have planted the cast in high-end Four Seasons properties, and France doesn’t have many of those.

Mike White wants a new vibe

After Season 3 wrapped, White teased that he wanted to get away from the beachy scenery we’ve had so far.

"get a little bit out of the crashing waves of rocks"

If that’s still the plan, the Alps would be a sharp left turn in the best way. Paris or the Riviera would keep things glamorous (and chaotic), but the mountains would give the show a totally different texture.

Quick Season 3 refresher

Season 3 unfolded in Thailand and filmed largely around Bangkok, Phuket, and Ko Samui. The ensemble was stacked: Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, Aimee Lou Wood, Sam Rockwell, Scott Glenn, plus returning favorites Natasha Rothwell and Jon Gries.

No word yet on the Season 4 cast or exact setting, but France is locked. If history is any guide, follow the Four Seasons breadcrumbs and you’ll probably land in the right lobby.
