Niall Horan emerges as a worthy showman and a dangerous rival.

The new season of The Voice is already shaping up to be something very special. And not just because it is the final season for veteran coach Blake Shelton and the return of show legend Kelly Clarkson. Newcomers Chance and Niall Horan have also been making an impression.

Niall Horan has a huge fan base that has been following him since 2010 when One Direction was formed on The X Factor. It seems only natural that the performer, who came out of a singing competition show and has since gained vast experience, would take the logical next step and become a coach himself.

Horan definitely has a unique perspective on what the contestants are going through and can help lead his team to victory. And Niall has already made his mark on the show.

During the premiere episode, Niall, who had zero contestants on his team at the time, made a move that proved him to be a worthy showman and a dangerous rival to the other coaches. When all four coaches turned to Ross Clayton, who was performing a perfect rendition of Keith Urban's "Blue Ain't Your Color," Niall didn't miss a beat before running to his competitors' chairs and turning them around to have a face-to-face conversation with Clayton.

Horan explained the hilarious move by saying he didn't want other coaches luring the contestant onto their teams. Especially not Blake, who was using his final season as an excuse to guilt-trip the contestant. And Horan's ploy worked. Clayton chose him and became the first proud member of Team Niall.

So far, The Voice viewers are happy with Horan and his team. Many note that the rookie coach has a charming and extroverted personality. On the show, he comes across as a funny, cool, charismatic guy and a talented musician.

"I think Niall is a great choice," a viewer commented on the premiere on Reddit . "Niall is such a great artist and songwriter, I feel like he is going to be a great coach. He's got TV charm, experience and will probably add some enthusiasm that would lack with another choice. I am excited to see who his advisor is!"

And Niall Horan's fans are excited that his stint as a judge on The Voice will most likely give his music the boost it deserves.
