The Voice Just Locked In Its Season 28 Top 6 — Find Out Who Made the Finale
The Voice has set its Season 28 finale lineup: six artists chosen by a mix of coach saves and fan votes after a two-round, genre-hopping showdown. With votes locked and critiques delivered, the winner will be crowned Tuesday night.
The Voice shook up its Season 28 endgame and locked in a Top 6. Coaches still chose one artist each to represent their teams, but viewers got in on the action too, adding two wild cards. Then the finalists ran a two-round gauntlet: one contemporary song, one classic. Results come in tonight on NBC.
How we got to this Top 6
Normally the coaches alone decide who heads to the live shows. This time, each coach put forward one artist, and the audience saved two more as wild cards. So your final six are the four team reps — Aubrey Nicole (Team Reba), Jazz McKenzie (Team Buble), Ralph Edwards (Team Snoop), and Aiden Ross (Team Niall) — plus the two fan-picked wild cards: DEK of Hearts (Team Niall) and Max Chambers (Team Buble).
To make it trickier (and more fun), the last pre-results episode had everyone sing twice: first in a contemporary lane, then with a classic. Here is who sang what, round by round.
- DEK of Hearts (Team Niall, audience wild card)
Round 1 (contemporary): 'Fishin' in the Dark' — Nitty Gritty Dirt Band
Round 2 (classic): 'Let it Go' — James Bay - Max Chambers (Team Buble, audience wild card)
Round 1 (contemporary): 'Your Way's Better' — Forest Frank
Round 2 (classic): 'One Moment in Time' — Whitney Houston - Aubrey Nicole (Team Reba, coach pick)
Round 1 (contemporary): ''Til You Can't' — Cody Johnson
Round 2 (classic): 'The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia' — Reba McEntire - Jazz McKenzie (Team Buble, coach pick)
Round 1 (contemporary): 'Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now)' — Phil Collins
Round 2 (classic): 'Drivers License' — Olivia Rodrigo - Aiden Ross (Team Niall, coach pick)
Round 1 (contemporary): 'Golden Hour' — JVKE
Round 2 (classic): 'The Winner Takes it All' — ABBA - Ralph Edwards (Team Snoop, coach pick)
Round 1 (contemporary): 'I Want to Know What Love Is' — Foreigner
Round 2 (classic): 'Locked Out of Heaven' — Bruno Mars
