Never give up, folks!

The Voice is a fantastic reality competition where anyone can perform to show the whole country their talent, their voice, their ability to captivate and entertain. And of course, not every talented aspiring artist reaches the heights of becoming the ultimate winner of the show.

But as sad and disappointing as it can be at times, it is also an enlightening moment because everyone has a chance to come back with their already honed natural skills to prove to themselves and the audience that the judges were wrong last time. Up-and-coming singer Sophia Hoffman proved to be just such a powerhouse, impressing the audience for the second time and finally catching the judges' attention.

Season 23

In March of this year, 18-year-old Hoffman auditioned for the show's 23rd season. The aspiring artist performed Spanish singer Rocío Dúrcal's song "Amor Eterno" and gave the audience goosebumps, but unfortunately the judges did not turn around within 90 seconds.

Everyone recognized that the girl has a powerful voice, which could not be fully showcased due to the choice of song. However, each of the judges felt that she has a great future ahead of her and that she should definitely return to the show next time.

Epic comeback

Sophia took the advice and returned for Season 24, which began on September 25, and managed to win over everyone, including the judges. This time, Sophia performed Demi Lovato's 'Tell Me You Love Me,' showing off a wide vocal range, including the ability to use melismatic singing.

Country legend Reba McEntire turned to her first, followed by former One Direction alum Niall Horan, who noted that there was 'so much more grit and maturity' in her voice. In the end, the girl chose Niall's team.

New Jordin Sparks?

The girl noted that she is a 'big fan of Jennifer Hudson,' which is not surprising considering her bright, soulful tone. But the audience wasn't comparing Sophia to just J.Hud.

'Is it just me, or her audition vibes screams Jordin Sparks', too? I mean, big voice with a lot of character, plus her outfit reminded me of when Jordin stepped onto the "American Idol" auditions for the first time. What a comeback, Sophia! Well-deserved!' a fan said.

Hoffman’s vocals and confident stage persona have been compared to those of AI Season 6 winner Jordin Sparks. It should also be noted that Sparks almost blew the audition herself, failing in Los Angeles but passing in Seattle. A great lesson in never giving up!

The next episode of The Voice Season 24 will air on October 2 on NBC.
