These series are 100% worth adding to your watchlist.

The first few months of 2025 have seen a number of noteworthy shows. From a new Netflix series to a show based on real events, here are four projects that are definitely worth checking out.

1. Toxic Town, 2025

If you couldn't get enough of Aimee Lou Wood in the third season of The White Lotus, don't miss Toxic Town. Based on a true story, the show is an ode to motherhood and the inspiring story of a group of women who can challenge society.

In 1995, a large number of children in the town of Corby were born with disabilities. The culprit is land reclamation: during the demolition of a local factory, the council rushed to clear the area as quickly as possible, and hazardous waste was spread throughout the area.

The story centers on Susan and Tracey, who met in the maternity ward. The former's son is born with a deformed arm, and the latter's daughter dies a few days later. The friends gather other women with similar experiences and decide to seek justice.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar, 2025

Kaitlyn Dever is definitely having a good year on television: this spring, the actress appeared in the second season of The Last of Us, and a little earlier, in February, the actress tried out a completely different role by playing a blogger in Apple Cider Vinegar.

The miniseries is based on true events: Australian Belle Gibson starts talking about her battle with brain cancer on her social networks. According to the girl, her treatment consists exclusively of proper nutrition.

Very soon, the influencer launches her own app with recipes and gains millions of subscribers. Her popularity grows by the day, but Belle does not have cancer.

3. Dying for Sex, 2025

Molly faces a terrible diagnosis and goes on a dating binge. The woman files for divorce and begins to explore Tinder: there is not much time left to take risks and fulfill secret desires. Molly is not alone in her journey: her close friend Nikki will support the woman.

The Hulu series is based on the true story of Molly Kochan. In 2015, the woman was diagnosed with breast cancer. But instead of giving up, Molly decided to leave an unhappy relationship.

4. The Residence, 2025

Fans of the detective genre should pay attention to The Residence – a twisted series about the investigation of a murder in the White House.

The show can be compared to both the Knives Out franchise and Only Murders in the Building – it is a comfortable comedy detective with eccentric characters.

At the White House, there's a social evening with representatives of the Australian government. While the guests are watching Kylie Minogue's performance, the body of the head doorman is found on another floor. Detective Cordelia Cupp arrives at the President's office immediately. She understands that there has been a murder.
