His parents already have grandchildren, so Nathan's in no rush.

Nathan Fillion is a very popular actor at the age of 52, but it seems that the star's personal life hasn't been as successful. The actor hasn't committed to a long-term relationship and doesn't even have a serious girlfriend, let alone wife.

We are not to say that Fillion's life is not exciting as it is — the star has been very busy acting, and his work is supposedly his life's focus at the time. But it's still alarming that, over the years, Fillion hasn't managed to form a lasting relationship, despite being engaged as many as three times!

As the actor once said, 'I'm comfortable only when there's a mutual attraction. That's what anyone wants.' And it looks like, in all of his three engagements, mutual attraction vanished pretty quickly, long before the lovers were able to tie the knot.

His first relationship that resulted in an engagement started in 1995 as Fillion dated 90210 star Vanessa Marcil. The actor proposed to his girlfriend in 1996, and they got engaged — only to call it quits that same year.

In 2013, after more than a decade of singlehood and regular on-and-off relationships, Fillion proposed to actress Mikaela Hoover after only a few months of dating. Sadly, this marriage never came about either, as Fillion and Hoover called off the engagement soon after it was announced.

Fillion's third engagement was the pinnacle of his brief romance with the Spanish actress and producer Christina Ochoa. The two began dating either immediately after his breakup with Hoover or, most likely, even before that. Once again, that relationship ended quickly, as the couple separated in 2014.

The actor does not get upset and, on the contrary, tries to enjoy every moment of his life. 'As I grow older, I notice time moves differently. Much faster than it did when I was a lad. It reminds me to appreciate what is really important, to live in the moment when times are good and to change the moment when they aren't,' Fillion said.

Nathan Fillion may not be celibate, but he has cemented his status as an eternal bachelor. In the star's own words, he is not too bothered by this because marriage is clearly not his main priority. On the Inside of You podcast with Michael Rosenbaum, Fillion said he doesn't worry about his marital status and is in no rush to get married because his parents already have grandchildren from his older brother.
