He’s rocked arenas and charmed screens for nearly 20 years, but Kevin Jonas won’t step onto the Dancing With the Stars floor. With Season 34 in full spin, the eldest Jonas says he’s passed on the show multiple times — and still isn’t chasing the Mirrorball.

Kevin Jonas has been doing the music/TV/film thing for nearly two decades, but there is one stage he keeps walking past: the Dancing With the Stars ballroom. Season 34 is rolling, the Mirrorball is up for grabs, and the oldest Jonas brother is still not tossing on sequins.

So why won't he do it?

During an InStyle fan Q&A, Nick Jonas casually dropped a very behind-the-scenes stat: DWTS has come calling for Kevin pretty much every season for the last 20 years. Kevin nodded to that timeline and made his stance pretty un-messy.

"I have said no. It is not for me."

He isn't anti-DWTS, though. He says he watches, enjoys it, and even thinks the show has its groove back this year.

Who he's watching in Season 34

  • Finalists he's tracking: Robert Irwin, Alix Earle, Elaine Hendrix, Jordan Chiles, and Dylan Efron
  • Who he's rooting for: Dylan Efron and Robert Irwin

Jonas music on the DWTS playlist?

The brothers teased that you might hear a Jonas Brothers track in the semifinals or during that three-hour finale. Kevin said he's pretty sure one of their songs is about to be performed, so prepare for a very familiar beat to hit the ballroom on a big night.

Meanwhile, on the holiday front

Off the dance floor, the brothers are promoting their new project, 'A Very Jonas Christmas Movie', which also ropes in other family members. So no foxtrot from Kevin, but yes to festive Jonas chaos.

Bottom line: DWTS keeps asking. Kevin keeps passing. He'll happily watch from the couch while cheering on Robert and Dylan — and maybe tapping his foot when a Jonas track pops up in the finale.
