Fisch’s Cultist Lair hides 21 fish you can’t hook anywhere else—complete the Bestiary by scouring every pool across its secret sub-regions.

Quick detour from the usual movies-and-TV chatter: I fell down a Roblox Fisch hole and surfaced with a surprisingly specific mission. The Cultist Lair Bestiary wants 21 fish you literally cannot catch anywhere else in the game. If you want bragging rights (and yeah, I absolutely did), here is how to get inside the lair and snag every last cave critter without wasting your weekend.

What the Cultist Lair Bestiary actually wants from you

The Cultist Lair is a hidden area with its own pools, and the only place these 21 species spawn. You will need to fish in every pool inside the lair to complete the Bestiary. The lair branches into three sub-regions you unlock while doing quests that revolve around collecting Amulets: Hall of Whispers, Passage of Oaths, and The Sanctum. You can just camp a pool and wait for RNG to be kind, but there is a faster way: match each fish to its preferred weather, time of day, season, and bait.

Fast way: match each fish's preferences

When the sky and clock line up, swap to the right bait and your odds jump. Here is every Cultist Lair fish and the combo that helps it bite:

  • Abyssal Slickhead — Weather: Rain, Time: Night, Season: Summer, Bait: Minnow
  • Cave Loach — Weather: Foggy, Time: Day, Season: Autumn, Bait: Worm
  • Mexican Tetra — Weather: Foggy, Time: Day, Season: Spring, Bait: Insect

How to get into the Cultist Lair in the first place

Start at Terrapin Island and find the Sea Traveler NPC at GPS XYZ: 161.9, 146.8, 2036. He will give you a quest that boils down to this: bring him a Sea Turtle. The catch (sorry) is that the Sea Turtle is Mythical, but it does spawn in the water around Terrapin Island.

Hand over the Sea Turtle and you will receive the Sea Traveler's Note. That note points you to the Terrapin Hideout at GPS XYZ: 2.3, 156.6, 1995.4. Head there, go inside, and look for a green lever next to the wall. Pull it and a secret wall opens, revealing the Cultist Lair.

From there, work through the quests, open doors, and unlock each pool across the Hall of Whispers, Passage of Oaths, and The Sanctum. As you unlock sub-regions, the missing species in your Bestiary will start filling in once you match the weather/time/season/bait combos above.

Final thought

Yes, it is a lot of hoops for fish with names like Stoplight Loosejaw, but the payoff is simple: the Bestiary gets stamped, and you get to flex. The odd little touches (GPS coordinates, a secret lever, and two different Leviathans that both want Luminous Larva on a foggy winter night) give the whole thing a fun puzzle vibe. If you clear it, tell me how many you pulled before the weather finally cooperated.
