The List of All the Halloween Episodes of Big Bang Theory to Binge
There are just as few as there are to watch in one evening.
Halloween is just around the corner, but some people might be feeling a bit under the weather and not looking forward to the holiday at all.
If that's you, we've rounded up all the Halloween episodes of The Big Bang Theory to get you in the mood, and ranked them according to their IMDb scores.
The Holographic Excitation (Season 6, Episode 5, 8.0)
Ironically, there's nothing Halloween-y about this episode, apart from the fact that it's about a costume party that Raj and Stuart are throwing to promote the comic shop. But it's still one of the best episodes of the entire sitcom, as it veers away from the traditional Sheldon-centric narrative and explores Howard's reluctance to let go of the subject of his space voyage and Penny and Leonard's relationship. So you may not get the holiday feeling, but you'll definitely get to enjoy TBBT at its best.
The Imitation Disturbance (Season 12, Episode 6, 8.2)
Arguably the funniest Halloween episode of The Big Bang Theory, this one sees the beloved characters dressing up extravagantly for a costume party. In case you're wondering what's so extravagant about their costumes, given that they've donned all sorts of weird outfits over the years, we'd like to remind you that Sheldon, Howard, Amy and Bernadette are dressing up as each other to have some fun. As these four mock each other and reminisce about their most irritating antics, Penny and Leonard go down memory lane to gain a deeper understanding of their relationship.
The Middle Earth Paradigm (Season 1, Episode 6, 8.3)
This classic episode from TBBT's debut season is the epitome of Halloween. Featuring the beloved characters with all their funny quirks, it follows them to a costume party full of hilariously dressed people. Hilariously, Sheldon, Leonard, Raj and Howard fail to fit in, even in these circumstances. Meanwhile, Penny has to get her romantic life in order. Also, Shelly's costume is a gag in itself.
The Good Guy Fluctuation (Season 5, Episode 7, 8.5)
Surprisingly, the least Halloween-y episode has the best score. Exploring a prank the gang pulls on Sheldon and his inevitable revenge, it focuses mainly on Leonard's affair with Alice - the girls she cheats on Priya with. It is heartbreaking and not at all festive, but viewers like it all the same because it frees up Leonard to reunite with Penny in subsequent episodes.
