The Cody Rhodes Curse: He Called The Bloodline And The Vision’s Future With Eerie Precision

The Vision’s mutiny against Seth Rollins stunned WWE, but reigning WWE Champion Cody Rhodes saw it coming—just as he did with Roman Reigns’ Bloodline.
Turns out Cody Rhodes is not just good at finishing stories. The guy keeps calling breakups before they happen. First he flagged the Bloodline crumbling back in 2023, and now The Vision just imploded on Raw exactly the way he warned it would. Well, almost exactly.
Rhodes saw the Bloodline split coming
On the March 20, 2023 episode of Raw, Cody got in Roman Reigns' face and basically laid out a blueprint for how Roman's empire would fracture once the Undisputed WWE Championship left his hands. And he did not mince words.
One day you're gonna wake up without those titles, that mean the most in our world, and when that happens, here's what else happens: Jey is gonna leave you, and then Jimmy will leave you too. So [when there's] no Usos, guess what happens then? Solo [Sikoa]... Solo leaves you too, and when Solo leaves you, this man [pointing to Heyman] becomes an advocate again [for someone else].
Here is where it gets fun. By the time Roman's Crown Jewel match with Bronson Reed rolled around, he still had two members of his tribe at his side: Jey and Jimmy, the Usos. But the Bloodline used to be a much bigger unit in 2023, with Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and others orbiting Reigns along with the Usos. The group has clearly thinned out since. The Usos are still with the OTC, but the big-family act around Roman has been peeling away just like Cody forecasted.
The Vision blows up, just like Cody said (with one twist)
Fast forward to this fall. On SmackDown, September 27, 2025, Cody Rhodes, 40, took aim at The Vision, Seth Rollins' power group, and made another bold call. His read: if things went south, Paul Heyman would happily turn on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
His exact line to Breakker and Reed was basically: 'Who is Paul Heyman loyal to? One thing I can guarantee: it ain't you.'
Cut to Raw on October 13. The Vision melted down on live TV. Bron Breakker pulled the pin first, spearing Seth Rollins in the closing minutes of the show. Bronson Reed and Paul Heyman followed Breakker's lead, and the faction's revolt against its own leader was on. So Rhodes nailed the breakup, even if the trigger man was not the one he named. Instead of Heyman lighting the fuse, Breakker did, and Heyman moved with the tide.
Quick timeline
- March 20, 2023 - Raw: Cody tells Roman that once the titles are gone, Jey, then Jimmy, then Solo bail, and Heyman reverts to being an advocate.
- 2023 - Bloodline at full strength includes the Usos, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and more.
- Crown Jewel (later): Roman Reigns enters with Jey and Jimmy still backing him; the Bloodline is already slimmer than before.
- September 27, 2025 - SmackDown: Cody warns that Paul Heyman will turn on Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed if things go wrong in The Vision.
- October 13 - Raw: The Vision fractures. Breakker spears Rollins to start the revolt; Reed and Heyman follow.
Bottom line: Cody keeps calling these faction flameouts like he has a script. He missed on the exact spark for The Vision, but the bonfire happened anyway. At this point, if he starts forecasting who is next, I am listening.
