Fans wonder if the hit reality show has become more predictable in recent years.

ABC's The Bachelor continues to draw huge ratings even 21 years after its premiere, but it looks like the current season fell a bit short of fans' expectations.

While Zach Shallcross' journey to find the love of his life was captivating at first, the season finale completely ruined it for fans, even though Zach did get engaged to his dream partner. That's not to say that the fans didn't wish Zach well, it's just that the final episode failed to provide any kind of intrigue.

In the finale, Zach had to choose between two remaining contestants – Gabi Elnicki and Kaity Biggar.

While the finale episodes have always been the most watched in the history of The Bachelor, as people love to see the intriguing question finally answered, this season's finale was a foregone conclusion. Everyone knew that Zach would choose Kaity, but was it the producers' fault or Zach's?

While Zach himself made it pretty visible that he loves Kaity much more than Gabi, fans are still not sure that he is to blame for the underwhelming season finale. After all, Zach was simply trying to convey his feelings to Kaity, and it was not his job to make the show exciting for the viewers.

The producers, on the other hand, are certainly to blame.

Fans knew from the beginning of the episode that Zach would choose Kaity over Gabi because she wore a white dress while her rival wore a yellow one. And Gabi herself looked pretty unhappy from the start, while Kaity was practically radiating happiness. Fans are wondering if the producers informed the girls about Zach's decision beforehand.

Most people argue that this is not the case, because during the season, Gabi proved to be great at reading people, she also knows all the tricks of reality TV. It looks like she just figured out that Zach wasn't going to pick her and this realization caused her spirits to plummet so much that it was painfully obvious to everyone watching the finale that Kaity would win.
