Ted Lasso Got a Surprise Shoutout From Brad Pitt

Turns out Brad Pitt is a Ted Lasso fan — and he didn't keep it to himself.
While filming F1, Pitt crossed paths with Ted Lasso cast member Sarah Niles, who played team psychologist Dr. Sharon Fieldstone in the Apple TV+ hit. In F1, Niles plays the mother of Pitt's on-screen teammate, and during production, Pitt took a moment to share how much he loved her work — and the show.
Niles told The Hollywood Reporter:
"I met Brad at a read-through. His energy, the way he came up to me and said he loved me and Ted Lasso. He wasn't afraid to tell me how much he loved the show and loved me in it. That's how he carried himself. He's very open."
That moment stuck with her — not just because of the compliment, but because it said something about Pitt's presence on set.
At the London premiere of F1, she told him directly:
"When your number one cast member is open and kind and wants to do well, everybody wants to follow suit, right? That's what you need to have. He's the captain of the ship and he's steering it."
It's a solid endorsement of Pitt's leadership style — and a nice crossover moment between two of Apple TV+'s biggest projects.
No word yet on whether Pitt watches Ted Lasso week-to-week or binged it all in one go, but with Season 4 reportedly in the works, maybe he'll have a reason to revisit Richmond soon.
Until then, fans can catch both Sarah Niles and Brad Pitt in F1, now playing in theaters. And yes — Pitt still believes.
