Stumble Episode 4: Title Revealed, Release Countdown, and Everything You Need to Know
Riding ratings on par with TV’s all-time greats, Stumble keeps its hot streak going as Season 1, Episode 4 lands December 5, 2025.
Quick heads-up if you have Stumble in your Friday queue: the show is skipping a week. Season 1, Episode 4, titled "Button Day," is now set for Friday, December 5, 2025, per IMDb. Not a huge delay, just a one-week breather after a busy November.
What Stumble is doing (and who is doing it)
Stumble is a sitcom/mockumentary about Courteney Potter, a Texas college cheerleading coach with a trophy case and zero chill. Jenn Lyon plays Courteney; Taran Killam is Boone E. Potter; Jarrett Austin Brown is DiMarcus; Georgie Murphy pops as Sally; and Anissa Borrego plays Krystal. Arianna Davis also shows up as Madonna Payton, aka Donna.
Behind the scenes: it is created by Jeff Astrof and Liz Astrof and produced by Other Shoe Productions, Mama Look! Productions, Defining Eve Productions, and Universal Television. The table that is making the rounds lists its network as NBC, but it is streaming on Peacock, which tracks with the Universal TV DNA.
The release pattern (and the hitch)
The show launched on Friday, November 7, 2025, then kept the Friday drumbeat going on November 14 and November 21. The next one, "Button Day," arrives December 5 instead of the very next Friday. After that, it picks back up again. Here is the rollout that is out there right now (via Next Episode):
- Episode 1 - "Pilot" - November 7, 2025
- Episode 2 - "Media Day" - November 14, 2025
- Episode 3 - "In Sync" - November 21, 2025
- Episode 4 - "Button Day" - December 5, 2025
- Episode 5 - "Heådltston Wants You!" - December 12, 2025
- Episode 6 - "Homecoming" - January 9, 2025
- Episode 7 - TBA - January 16, 2026
Yes, that January 9, 2025 date for Episode 6 looks like a typo, since it would rewind the calendar. Given the pattern, January 9, 2026 makes a lot more sense, but the list literally shows 2025. File under: mildly confusing scheduling notes.
Where Episode 3 left things
"In Sync" spent time with DiMarcus, who admitted he has been feeling small and overlooked, like a background extra in his own life. The episode also spotlighted Madonna Payton (Donna) and her push to be a high school athlete, then wrapped by peeling back a bit of Sally’s history and giving Courteney a little more shading.
What "Button Day" probably tees up
The next chapter should swing the focus back to Courteney, with the looming college cheer competition forcing her into a bigger, messier challenge. We are far enough into the season that the main conflict should start locking into place.
How it is playing with audiences
The hype machine is calling Stumble a ratings heavyweight, and it is definitely catching attention. For hard numbers, it is currently sitting at a 6.6/10 on IMDb and an 80% on Rotten Tomatoes. Either way, it is one of the better-performing comedies on Peacock right now.
Stumble streams on Peacock. Episode 4, "Button Day," lands Friday, December 5, 2025.
