Stranger Things Star Reveals the One Season 5 Prop They Couldn't Resist Taking Home
Stranger Things Season 5 kicked off with a cheeky confession as Jamie Campbell Bower — Vecna himself — revealed he walked away with pieces of his character and other set mementos.
Jamie Campbell Bower walked the Stranger Things 5 red carpet and basically admitted he left set like a man raiding a haunted prop house. Not shocked. If you spent years inside Vecna, you would want receipts too.
Premiere night confession
At the world premiere on November 6 at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Los Angeles, the Sweeney Todd alum told Entertainment Tonight he did, in fact, take parts of Vecna home. Literally.
'In more ways than one, but yeah.'
What he swiped
Bower rattled off the souvenirs like a proud goblin king. Highlights:
- The actual hand of Vecna
- A belt that he teased you will only understand once you watch the new season
- His chair bag from set
- A hand-painted, double-scale model of Vecna gifted by prosthetics wizard Barrie Gower, who builds all that nightmare fuel for the character
Where Season 5 picks up
Bower is back as Henry Creel, aka Vecna, still the big bad. Despite appearing to lose at the end of Season 4, Vecna punches through into the real world this time, triggering massive earthquakes across Hawkins. The core gang is finally back under one roof, and Eleven and company are gearing up for a final showdown with Vecna and the horrors he has unleashed.
Release plan and episode size
Netflix is slicing Season 5 into three drops. Part 1 lands November 26, 2025 with four episodes. More episodes arrive on Christmas Day, and the finale hits on New Year’s Eve. It is a full holiday sprint to the finish.
Some chapters are big. Episode 4, titled 'Sorcerer,' is reportedly 1 hour and 23 minutes, and the showrunners have called filming it the most logistically insane shoot of their careers. Translation: expect scale.
