Yep. Through the first four seasons, Will Byers and Steve Harrington were ships in the night — always orbiting the same chaos, never directly exchanging a single line. That streak ended in Episode 3 of the final season, titled 'The Turnbow Trap,' when the two finally had a quick but key exchange about Will tapping into Vecna's mind.

Fans were already on this. One X account, @Stevehcrave, pointed out that Steve and Will still had not interacted after five seasons. Another fan jumped in to note that, actually, they do talk in Episode 3. The original account then owned the mistake. Internet corrected itself for once — mark the calendar.

Why this is so odd

For a series that constantly shuffles its cast into new pairings, Steve and Will going four seasons without a direct exchange is kind of wild. Maybe the story just never needed it — until now.
