Stewie Griffin Goes Solo: Fox and Hulu Order Two-Season Family Guy Spinoff
Move over, Quahog—Stewie goes solo: Fox and Hulu order two seasons of a Family Guy spinoff packed with time-travel mayhem, diabolical schemes, and baby-genius chaos.
Well, this escalated quickly. Stewie Griffin — yes, the pint-sized megalomaniac with a soft spot for Rupert — is getting his own animated spinoff, and it sounds like a full-on sci-fi field trip with nap time.
So what is this thing?
The show is called 'Stewie.' It finds our favorite toddler genius booted from his old preschool and dumped into a new one that is... not exactly elite. He does not know the kids. The vibes are off. The class turtle is 75, cranky, and convinced he has a half-baked theory about pretty much everything. Everyone is miserable.
Enter Stewie's gadgets. He starts hauling his classmates across time and space — same time machine platform he built back on the main show — and suddenly the worst preschool becomes a launchpad for big, weird, surreal adventures. Think finger paints, but also paradoxes.
Familiar faces
Seth MacFarlane is back voicing Stewie, and Brian will pop in from time to time to keep things appropriately sardonic. New characters anchor the classroom chaos, with that cantankerous turtle already sounding like an instant bit.
Release and other nuts and bolts

- Produced by Seth MacFarlane with 20th Television Animation

- Part of Fox's beefed-up animation slate, with Family Guy, American Dad, Bob's Burgers, and The Simpsons now set through 2029
My read
Stewie leading time-hopping preschool mayhem feels like the most natural chaos-engine this franchise could spin up. If they lean into brainy absurdity and keep the jokes sharp, I am all in on 30 minutes of cosmic tantrums.
