Well, that escalated quick. Tom Holland and Zendaya wedding buzz was already humming, and now someone from the new Spider-Man movie just poured jet fuel on it.
So who nudged this along?
Liza-Colon Zayas, who is in Spider-Man 4 in a role nobody will tell us about yet, posted on her Instagram Stories congratulating Holland and Zendaya. She tagged both of them and dropped a heart hands emoji while amplifying a claim from Zendaya's longtime stylist, Law Roach, that the two already tied the knot.
Where did the 'they're married' claim come from?
Roach said it out loud in recent interviews and did not hedge.
"The wedding's already happened. You missed it."
When pressed if he was serious, he doubled down with a laugh. In a separate chat, he repeated the same line: everyone already missed it.
Zendaya's mom reacts (kinda)
Zendaya's mother hopped on Instagram and, instead of clearing anything up, simply pointed to Roach's delivery with a cryptic: 'That laugh..,' and left it at that.
Where do Tom and Zendaya stand?
They have not confirmed anything, which tracks with how they have handled their relationship from the jump. Holland has been clear about keeping it private:
"Our relationship is something that we are incredibly protective of, and we want to keep as sacred as possible. We don't think that we owe it to anyone. It's our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers."
