Spider-Man 4 Just Cast Its Live-Action Tombstone For The MCU

Spider-Man 4 has found its live-action Tombstone, tapping a Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse alum as Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man: Brand New Day rolls cameras under Destin Daniel Cretton, with Tom Holland back in the suit.
Well, Spider-Man 4 just locked in a familiar bad guy with a very specific twist: the actor playing him already voiced the same character in the animated Spider-Verse. That is some fun multiverse-adjacent weirdness, even if nobody is saying the M-word out loud yet.
Krondon is Tombstone. Again. But this time in live action.
Marvin Jones III, who you might know as rapper Krondon, has been cast as Tombstone in Marvel and Sony's Spider-Man 4. Deadline had the scoop. If that name rings a bell, it should: Jones voiced Tombstone in 2018's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Deadline also notes the character is set to show up in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. Is this casting a clever coincidence or a breadcrumb for some cross-media crossover? No one is confirming anything, so take it as a neat connection for now.
Jones has built a solid genre resume already: Tobias Whale on The CW's Black Lightning, a recurring turn as Louis-036 in Halo Season 2, and a recent role in Joe Carnahan's Shadow Force with Kerry Washington and Omar Sy.
Where Spider-Man 4 is at

Marvel has it followed by Avengers: Doomsday on December 18, 2026.

How big is Tombstone's part?
Unknown. Marvel and Sony are keeping that sealed for now. But the casting is notable on its own, especially with Jones bridging the animated and live-action versions of the character. Inside baseball, yes, but the kind that makes you tilt your head and go, huh.
