Solo Leveling Season 3 Hype Surges After Producer's Cryptic Tweet
Supporters vow to wait for the greatful fookin' news, doubling down on trust as anticipation peaks.
Solo Leveling has been quiet for eight months, and fans have been climbing the walls. Now there is a fresh spark: a deliberately vague tease from the show’s animation producer that sure looks like a season 3 wink.
The tease
On November 2, animation producer Atsushi Kaneko posted a meme on X featuring Pepe the Frog, created by @HirenCloud. Pepe is holding a coffee and a flag printed with Kaneko’s illustrated avatar. If you zoom in, the image hides the phrase Great fOOkin' happy news three times. Pepe is also sporting face bandages, which is a cheeky nod to how Sung Jinwoo sometimes looked when he was younger.
"I know what the world is waiting for, but I want it to wait a little longer"
That was Kaneko’s caption. No dates, no titles, just a very specific tease posted on November 2, 2025. Translation: an announcement about Solo Leveling season 3 is probably coming, but not today.
Fans immediately lost it
- "OK!! SL FANS WILL KEEP WAITING FOR THE GREAT FOOKIN NEWS!!"
- "We will wait for the Greatful Fookin' news, we trust you sir."
- "We will wait because we are trust in you and we know you will make it better than season 2. Solo leveling season 2 was phenomenal."
Quick refresher on season 2
The second season ran from January through March 2025 and picked up right where season 1 left off, with Jinwoo stepping fully into his power as the Shadow Monarch. He tries to keep his abilities under wraps, but that gets complicated when a hunter who vanished nearly a decade ago reappears and delivers a prophecy about an oncoming catastrophe directly to Jinwoo.
What Solo Leveling is working from
The anime adapts Chugong’s South Korean web novel, brought to TV by director Shunsuke Nakashige and writer Noboru Kimura. Seasons 1 and 2 are streaming now on Crunchyroll.
Bottom line: there is still no official season 3 announcement, but Kaneko’s meme is the most blatant nudge we have had in months. If he is telling everyone to wait a little longer, that usually means something is actually on the way.
