He's done a lot in the month since his Season 21 victory.

The 18-year-old Hawaiian native captured the hearts of judges and audiences with his touching tributes to his late father, and his incredible talent. He walked away with the title of American Idol and was proudly the first Pacific Islander to win the competition.

Winning American Idol is no small feat and the show has the potential to rocket contestants to stardom, whilst others seem to fade away from the spotlight.

So, what has happened to the singer-songwriter since his win?

Following his win, Tongi was excited to continue performing, saying: 'I'm going to be doing live shows, concerts, and stuff because I love live,' and he certainly has stayed true to his words.

Lots of Concerts

Tongi loves to perform, and that's what he'll be doing this summer. He has shared various events and concerts that he will be performing at, and recently released a list of his live shows from June all the way to October. He'll be visiting West Hollywood, Hawaii, Virginia Beach, New Zealand, and more to make appearances.

Why Kiki?

Tongi announced that a new song, 'Why Kiki' would be coming out soon, and shared a snippet of the song, spurring fans' excitement.

Tribute to his Dad

Family is something Togi has always held close to his heart, and winning American Idol never changed that. He recently shared some behind the scenes of his recording 'I'll be seeing you,' a song that he wrote for his late father. For Father's Day in June, Togi shared pictures of his dad and his family on Instagram, with the caption, 'Miss you, happy Father's Day.'

He Graduated

Tongi reached a milestone in his life shortly after his American Idol win. He graduated from Decatur High School in Federal Way, Washington, and performed for his classmates at their graduation ceremony.

Giving Back

The American Idol winner has shown his kindness and compassion through charity. He recently shared photos of himself handing out guitars, with the post thanking @Gibsonguitar for helping him 'share the gift of music.'

Iam Tongi has stayed true to himself and his values since winning American Idol and is going to be busy in the upcoming months as he continues to share his love of music with fans, family, and the rest of the world. We look forward to seeing what happens next for the young star.
