So, is Season 6 happening?
Yes. Apple TV+ has already renewed Slow Horses for Season 6, and it is not just a paper renewal. Season 6 has finished filming. Apple actually gave the green light last year, and they are not stopping there — Season 7 is on deck too.
Where we are with Season 5
Season 5 premiered on September 24, 2025, and it stuck to the show’s usual format: six episodes, no split season, no extra drop of episodes hiding behind a Part 2 gimmick. The Season 5 finale lands on October 29, 2025.
What Season 6 adapts
Season 6 draws from two of Mick Herron’s Slough House novels: Joe Country and Slough House. If that sounds like a lot of story for one season, same. But that is the plan.
Season 7 is already lining up
Season 7 will follow Bad Actors. Cameras are expected to roll at the end of October. And if you want a rough calendar: Season 6 is expected next year, and Season 7 is aiming for 2027.

One of the more interesting behind-the-scenes wrinkles he mentions: Season 5 was the last led by Will Smith — the British writer-producer who has been a key creative on the show, not that Will Smith — and a new creative team is taking the reins for Seasons 6 and 7.
Apple’s European creative chief Jay Hunt has been cheerleading the renewal, essentially saying the world has fallen for these Slough House screwups and that Gary Oldman will keep fronting another sharp, punchy run of the series.
