It’s official: Neil Flynn and Christa Miller will return for the 2026 Scrubs revival, reprising The Janitor and Jordan Sullivan.

Scrubs is officially scrubbing back in. ABC is rolling out a proper Season 10, the first new batch of episodes since 2010, and it picks up after the events of Season 8. Translation: the show is skipping past everything that happened in Season 9. Honestly, that is the cleanest way to do it.

Where we are picking up

The revival drops us back at Sacred Heart Hospital with the crew doing what they do best: heartfelt chaos and deeply weird hallway banter. The tone sounds very much like the 2000s run that made the show a hit in the first place.

Who is back (and who is stopping by)

Zach Braff is back as John 'J.D.' Dorian. Donald Faison is back as Christopher Turk. And that is just the start — more than six familiar faces from the original nine-season stretch are returning, with additional names still on the way.

  • Neil Flynn returns as the Janitor, J.D.'s longtime nemesis with a gift for pranks and deadpan menace.
  • Christa Miller is back as Jordan Sullivan, former Sacred Heart board member and Dr. Perry Cox's razor-edged ex-wife who, despite the barbs, built real friendships over time.
  • Guest stars announced: Rachel Bilson, Andy Ridings, and Lisa Gilroy.
  • For context: Flynn started as a guest in Season 1, became a series regular from Seasons 2 through 8, and popped in again during Season 9. Miller has been around since Season 1 as a recurring player all the way through the original run.

Janitor and Jordan: why these two matter

Having the Janitor back practically guarantees the show will keep that oddball edge. Expect more petty wars with J.D., more blink-and-you-miss-it gags (remember when the show nodded to Flynn's The Fugitive appearance?), and, if the writers feel generous, maybe another deep-cut callback to his past crush on Sarah Chalke's Elliot Reed — the one he insisted on calling 'Blonde Doctor.' And yes, the Season 8 finale finally coughed up his real name: Glen Matthews. Hard to forget.

Jordan's return could tilt more character-focused. Years have passed, and while a remarriage to Cox feels unlikely, there is rich material in watching them co-parent Jack and Jennifer, who would be teenagers or older by now. If the show wants to soften Jordan around the edges without losing her bite, this is the lane.

Who else could show up

One absence is already set: the late Sam Lloyd's beloved attorney Ted Buckland will not be part of the new season. Beyond that, a few big originals are still question marks. Ken Jenkins as Dr. Bob Kelso would be a major get. Aloma Wright is another interesting possibility — her first character, Nurse Laverne Roberts, died in Season 6, and Wright later returned as Nurse Shirley in Season 7. With the plot for Season 10 under wraps, the door is open for clever re-entries.

When to watch

ABC premieres the first two episodes of Scrubs Season 10 on February 25, 2026.
