All of these episodes come from the early part of the series.

Love Again, a new romantic comedy-drama starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Sam Heughan, will hit the screens on 5 May, with preview screenings on the 4th. If you're excited about this movie, you're likely familiar with Sam Heughan's most famous role as Jamie Fraser in Outlander. He and Caitriona Balfe (Claire Fraser) accomplished a rare feat in a romance-centred series: portraying a long-lasting marriage without losing the romantic spark between their characters.

So, which episodes of the series should you watch to witness the best of Heughan's acting talent while waiting for Love Again to come out? Let's go through the series in chronological order.

Start with the first three episodes, which lay the foundation for the show. Time-displaced Claire meets a seriously injured Jamie, and they help each other. They establish their relationship, and the actors convey their attraction to each other from their first scene together, long before their relationship officially becomes romantic.

Next, watch S1, E7, in which the two characters get married. This is one of the most popular episodes in the entire show. Although the marriage is forced upon them by circumstances, it's also the moment when the couple admit their love for each other. Heughan is excellent in this episode, portraying a mix of excitement, reluctance, and innocence in Jamie's character.

Episode 9 sees the characters' love put to two big tests. First, Jamie faces the man who nearly killed him twice without a weapon to save Claire. Then, he and Claire have a heated argument. In this episode, Heughan truly outshines himself, showing just how much Claire means to his character.

Season 1, episodes 15 and 16, are commonly considered the most challenging to watch due to the gruesome scenes they include. However, these episodes also highlight Heughan's incredible acting skills as he convincingly portrays a character who first submits to torture and imminent death to save his loved one and then, after being rescued, is so broken by the ordeal that we momentarily question whether even love can save him.

Finally, episodes 6 and 7 of Season 2 depict the most significant and tragic relationship crisis between Jamie and Claire. Heughan delivers an absolutely superb performance in these episodes.
