Salvador Season 2: Is It Coming Back or Is This the End?
Salvador just dropped on Netflix with a brutal revenge ride, and viewers are already asking what’s next. Will Season 2 get the green light or is this the end of the road? Here’s the latest on its renewal status.
Netflix just dropped Salvador, and of course the big question is whether this bruising Spanish revenge thriller is getting a second run. Short answer: the ball is still on the center line.
Season 2 status
Renewal: TBD. Netflix has yet to announce a pickup or a pull-the-plug. Season 1 arrived February 6, 2026, and all eight episodes went live at once. No cancellation on the books, no greenlight either. Classic wait-and-see window.
What Salvador is about
This is a Spanish action thriller-drama centered on a father who goes hunting for the truth after his daughter gets pulled into a violent far-right group. The spark is a staged brawl between hardcore supporters of two soccer clubs. In the chaos, ambulance driver Salvador Aguirre finds and treats his own daughter, Milena, who has signed up with an ultra faction that pushes racist, violent, and homophobic ideology—everything he raised her against. From there, it is a methodical, often brutal push into the machinery that recruited her.
Does Season 1 set up more?
Season 1 wraps without a shameless cliffhanger, but it leaves runway for the story to keep going. There is enough unresolved fallout and character space to justify another round if Netflix wants it.
What will decide a renewal
As usual, viewership and reception drive the call. If the numbers hold and completion rates look healthy, that helps. Early chatter has been mixed, which could make the decision less automatic, but the show has the kind of premise that can travel.
