Resident Evil Requiem Leak Hints at Leon Kennedy’s Triumphant Return

Looks like someone at the PlayStation Store hit publish a little too early. A new Resident Evil Requiem poster briefly popped up and, yep, Leon S. Kennedy is right there next to new lead Grace Ashcroft. It lines up with months of whispers, and it sure makes his return look bigger than a blink-and-you-miss-it cameo.

So, is Leon actually back-back?

From the art, Leon looks older (as he should by now), still annoyingly stylish, and very much positioned as a real presence in the game. That matters, because Capcom has a habit of teasing fan-favorite characters without giving them much to do in the main campaign. Think Resident Evil 7: Chris Redfield shows up at the end of the story, but you only get to play him in the separate Not a Hero DLC. This leak suggests Requiem might go further with Leon than that.

We already know Grace Ashcroft is the protagonist, so expect Leon in a support role if this holds. Earlier chatter also mentioned a gun-heavy character being part of Requiem. That description screams Leon, and if he is in, it could open the door for other familiar faces to pop up too.

The timing fits: the poster leak shows up right before the show, the game is only a few months out, and the showcase hits on December 11, 2025.

As always with leaks: exciting, but keep a little salt handy. Still, if Capcom is about to roll out Leon in a real way, that is a crowd-pleaser. Personally, if we get even a solid slice of playable Leon, that is a win.
