Played by the magnificent Damian Lewis, the protagonist is a former cop who spent 12 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. Having served his time, the character becomes a detective again and uses the knowledge and skills he gained behind bars in his work.
6. John Doe (2002, 1 season, rated: 73%)
The main character is a mysterious man who doesn't know anything about himself or his past but has extensive encyclopedic knowledge, which he uses to help the Seattle police investigate crimes.
