Reboots and Sequels: 5 Biggest Paramount Pictures Movies to Premiere in 2025-2026
The studio is capitalizing on the success of its previous releases and producing new films.
With the strikes over, Hollywood has been back in business for months. Paramount Pictures is no exception. Here's a list of five movies currently in the works at the studio that will be released in 2025-2026.
Novocaine (14th March, 2025)
Directed by Robert Olsen and Dan Berk, this action movie stars Jack Quaid as a bank executive who can't feel pain. While the condition may seem nice at first, it actually takes a toll on the man's life. Fortunately, one day the bank is robbed and his girlfriend is taken hostage, so his affliction comes in handy... Besides Quaid, Amber Midthunder will also appear in the movie. The new movie seems to have nothing to do with the 2001 movie of the same name.
The Naked Gun Reboot (28th July, 2025)

The untitled new installment of the Naked Gun franchise will be directed by Akiva Schaffer, whose credits include Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping and produced by Seth MacFarlane (Ted, Family Guy). Dan Gregor and Doug Mand are said to be contributing to the script. Most importantly, Liam Neeson is set to star as the notoriously unlucky and inept police lieutenant.
Vicious (8th August, 2025)
Bryan Bertino, who has given us such popular horror films as The Strangers series, Mockingbird, and The Dark and the Wicked, is working on a new film from his original screenplay. Starring Dakota Fanning (War of the Worlds, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, The Equalizer 3), the movie will focus on her character, a young woman who receives an uncanny gift from a strange night visitor, and must fight for her life because of the gift and its contents.
Paw Patrol 3 (31st July, 2026)
The upcoming third installment in the Paw Patrol big-screen movie franchise was greenlit by Paramount before the second film premiered in late September 2023, only to gross a whopping $202 million against a $30 million budget. Spin Master Entertainment, which conceived the franchise back in 2013, is producing along with Nickelodeon Movies. Casting has yet to be announced.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (9th October, 2026)
Jeff Rowe's 2023 TMNT movie, which followed the fan-favorite ninja turtles in their battle against a criminal syndicate employing various dangerous mutants, proved to be a success, earning a nice $180 million, so Paramount has renewed the franchise for another installment. The premise of the second film is not yet known, but Rowe is said to be reprising his role as director and one of the writers for the new installment.
