Rebecca Ferguson’s Silo Just Dropped Major Season 3 and 4 Updates
Silo is powering ahead: star Steve Zahn says Seasons 3 and 4 are making real behind-the-scenes strides, teasing fresh details for the Rebecca Ferguson-led Apple TV dystopia and sending fan anticipation surging.
Good news if you like your dystopias claustrophobic and your mysteries dusty: Apple TV's Silo is chugging ahead on two fronts at once. Steve Zahn says Season 3 is basically wrapped and Season 4 is already shooting, and he sounds pretty pumped about both.
Where Season 3 stands
Zahn, who appears in the Rebecca Ferguson-led series, dropped the update while doing press for Anaconda (yes, that is a real sentence), and told Collider he has been on set recently and is near the end of his work on the third season.
'Yes. We are almost done. I am almost done. I flew here yesterday.'
He also clarified that Season 3 is in post right now, and that the wait is mostly about the show’s effects work. Translation: lots of VFX shots to polish, so do not hold your breath for an immediate release date.
'Season 3 is still in post. It is coming out. I do not know when. It is a complicated show. There is a lot going on as far as visual effects.'
Apple TV has not announced a premiere date yet.
Season 4 is already rolling (and bigger)
While Season 3 gets the post-production shine, cameras are already up on Season 4. Zahn says the next run goes wider and louder, with more scale and more action than before.
'We are in 4 right now. We are in the middle of 4, and it is the biggest show. There is so much going on... It spreads out all over. It gets really cool. There is a lot of action.'
It is a little unusual to have a new season filming before the previous one even has a date, but if you are into this world, the takeaway is simple: they are not slowing down.
Quick hits
