It looks like the scandalous celebrity will be released sooner than expected.

Real Housewives of Salt Lake City was just another spin-off of the successful reality show, immersing fans in the lives of some pretty interesting women living in Utah.

And then a huge scandal erupted, as one of the show's most striking characters, Jen Shah, was arrested during the filming of the second season. Needless to say, her fans and colleagues were stunned by the news, hoping that the whole situation would be resolved in the near future.

But that didn't happen.

Shah was charged with conspiracy to commit fraud and conspiracy to launder money in connection with her involvement in a huge telemarketing fraud scheme.

The charges were indeed serious, and earlier this year Shah was found guilty and sentenced to 6.5 years in a federal prison camp. And that's only thanks to the plea bargain the TV star went for, as she would have otherwise served much more than ten years. Looks like Shah made the right decision as a recent update proved that the star will see the light of day sooner than expected.

According to the Federal Bureau of Prisons' inmate database, Shah is scheduled to be released on 30 August 2028, exactly one year earlier than previously expected. It looks like Shah has managed to cut herself another deal, reducing her sentence quite significantly.

At the time of her release, Shah will be 55 years old.

Fans argue that Jen got what she deserved for being part of the scheme that took a lot of money from innocent people and claim that when the celebrity is released, no one will remember her. Of course, it would be quite difficult for her to find another job as most networks will surely refuse to work with an ex-convict like Shah.

But there is still money to be made from her time in prison. Ironically, fans are already anticipating Shah’s memoirs or a TV special based on her experiences behind bars in the years following her scheduled release.
