Reacher fans, stand down: Season 4 is nearly in the can. Alan Ritchson says filming is about to wrap, the clearest sign yet that Prime Video’s powerhouse is closing in on a release date.

Good news for anyone itching for more Reacher: the new season is basically in the can. Alan Ritchson says cameras are almost done rolling on Season 4, and the update comes with a big promise about how this one plays.

Production status (and what that means for release timing)

Ritchson told ScreenRant on November 7 that they are right at the finish line:

"We’re a week away. It’s been a beast to wrestle to the ground, but man, this is by far the best season we’ve ever made. Very excited."

Prime Video still hasn’t stamped a date on it, but based on that timeline, mid-2026 feels like the realistic window. That would likely land after the upcoming Neagley spin-off, which is set to expand the Reacher universe. The show has been a steady shot of bone-crunching entertainment since it launched in 2022, so the hype tracks.

What book they’re adapting and why this one is a twist

Season 4 is tackling 'Gone Tomorrow,' the 13th Jack Reacher novel by Lee Child. Prime Video already teased the NYC setting by posting a photo of the Season 4 script sitting on a New York City subway car. Ritchson also flashed four fingers on Instagram while holding a copy of the book, just in case the hint wasn’t obvious.

Quick snapshot of the story: it kicks off on the subway, with Reacher clocking a passenger who might be a suicide bomber. From there, it spirals into a city-spanning conspiracy, the pace barely lets up, and yes, the book features Reacher doing 'subway surfing' because of course it does. One other wrinkle: 'Gone Tomorrow' is one of the rare Reacher books written in the first person, which could give the show some interesting ways to get closer to what’s going on in his head without breaking its vibe.

Who’s in it

As usual, new faces are joining Alan Ritchson’s Jack Reacher this season. Confirmed so far:

  • Sydelle Noel as Tamara Green
  • Agnez Mo as Lila Hoth
  • Kevin Corrigan as Detective Docherty

Bottom line: filming is about to wrap, the team thinks they’ve made their best season, and the book choice points to a tight, high-stakes New York run. Now we wait for Prime Video to put a date on it.
